Historical Background
PRO Seed Ltd was incorporated in 2018 as seed company. And it started seed production in Ku’bi and Aru Bomas of Lokiliri Payam in 2018.
In 2019, it expanded to Magwi County and then in 2020 it expanded its seed production activities to Yambio and Nzara Counties of Western Equatoria State where it has become its major area of seed production.
Though the company started by directly producing the seeds it its own farm in 2018 and 2019. It has since stopped and only continued with out-growers. These are subcontracted small scale farmers who are then trained as seed producers.
