Incorporated in 2018 under the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs and formally recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, PRO Seed Ltd has evolved from its foundational roots as South Sudan’s premier certified seed producer into an integrated, multi-faceted agribusiness enterprise.
Having established a strong legacy in smallholder seed multiplication, we are now driving the full commercialization and mechanization of South Sudan’s agricultural value chain — from the field to the market.
We produce mainly field crop seeds — maize, sorghum, cowpeas, groundnuts, sesame, green grams, and beans. For sorghum and groundnuts, we produce both improved and local varieties suited to their respective areas of production.
For maize, we produce two proven hybrid seed varieties (Macista Hybrid Maize and Bazooka Hybrid Maize) bred for strong yields and resilience — and we are now expanding into chilli production as our newest venture.
